This wall type illustrates brick veneer anchored to CMU backing. A fluid-applied air/moisture/vapor barrier is applied to the cavity face of the block wythe. The CMU is reinforced with horizontal joint reinforcement, and integral eye-and-pintle wall ties anchor the brick to the CMU backing. Rigid insulation sits in the cavity between the block and the brick, and air space for drainage and ventilation is maintained between the face brick and the cavity insulation.
