We are working on a Masonry Camp Alumni directory, bulletin board and photo album, so watch this space.

Here are just a few of the hundreds of happy Masonry Campers:

“Masonry Camp reinforced for me the importance of collaboration and communication in design. This is something that I try to bring to all projects.”

Anthony Bracala, 1999
AB ARCH Philadelphia, PA

In 2004, Bracala designed a two-acre-plus skate park prominently placed along the Schuylkill River near the city’s Museum of Art. He is also a visiting lecturer at Community College of Philadelphia and an adjunct professor at Drexel University. Previous stints include assistant designer for the new Phillies Ballpark and project architect at Venturi, Scott Brown and Associates.

“We learned a whole lot from each other—especially respect and collaboration. I always consider when I’m designing who will be working on it and how well trained they are. It makes a difference.”

Stella Koop
AIA Associate, Project Manager, RTKL Associates, Inc. Chicago

“It helped me to communicate on the job. Before Masonry Camp, I had a high level of naiveté about materials and how things went together. Now, I can go on a jobsite and really engage the people who have to build it.”

John Burse, 1999
Mackey Mitchell Associates St. Louis, MO

The cool thing about IMI is that I can call and get what I need.”

Sean Glaesemann, 1999
Construction Manager Lydig Construction Spokane, WA
